Years of Employment: 4
Department: Talent Development
Q: Have you always been in Talent Development?
A: I spent three and a half years as a bartender in BSB and, in March 2018, I transferred to this position.
Q: What does it mean to you to be Team Member of the Month?
A: It’s recognition for a lot of hard work that I didn’t realize that people noticed.
Q: What is your favorite part about working in this department?
A: I have 12 years of administrative experience and I really enjoy office work, as weird as that sounds. I love being able to see our new hires come in. I might miss seeing everyone on the floor, but I get to see all the new people coming in.
Q: What has your time in this department taught you so far?
A: How valuable it is to be a part of a really good team. Teamwork goes a long way; and, being such a small group with big projects, we have to work together.
Q: What are your favorite hobbies?
A: Spending time with my husband and my daughter!
Q: What’s your favorite food?
A: Pasta! Fettuccine Alfredo.
Q: What is your favorite color?
A: Pink (and purple.)
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: “My Fair Lady.”
Q: What’s an interesting fact about you that most people don’t know?
A: I have two black belts in karate. I have a black belt in Jiu Jitsu and a first degree black belt in Shotokan. I started in elementary school and stopped around high school. In high school, I was super small, but could toss larger men over my shoulder because of my training. It helped me find who I was and break out of my shell as kid.
Q: What’s your favorite dessert?
A: I like a really good, gooey chocolate brownie. Chocolate is my go-to!
